Research into Thermography and Health

Utility of thermal image scanning in screening for febrile patients in cold climates
This study verified that IRT was not accurate in a cold climate.
Infrared Thermographic Imaging of Chest Wall Perfusion in Patients Undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
The study has shown that IRT is sufficiently sensitive to demonstrate the known, subtle reduction in chest wall perfusion associated with IMA harvesting.
Studying the Accuracy and Function of Different Thermometry Techniques for Measuring Body Temperature
This study showed that not all temperature monitoring techniques are equal.
Sport: The use of infrared thermography for the dynamic measurement of skin temperature of moving athletes during competition; methodological issues
To investigate the use of infrared thermography (IRT) for skin temperature measurement of moving athletes during competition and its sensitivity to factors that are traditionally standardised.
Sport: Behavior of skin temperature during incremental cycling and running indoor exercises
The main contribution is comparing the thermal behavior of the person's skin performing two different activities, constructing a basis for future energy and exergy analysis of the human body under physical activities complementary to the literature.
Plastic Surgery: Accuracy of infrared thermography for perforator mapping: A systematic review and meta-analysis of diagnostic studies
Affordable infrared thermography devices are an interesting alternative to traditional preoperative investigations for perforator mapping.
Dermatology: Burn depth assessment using hyperspectral imaging in a prospective single center study
Changes in microcirculation within the first 72 h after thermal trauma were reflected by an increasing BI in both groups.
Reumatology: Infrared Thermography for the Evaluation of Inflammatory and Degenerative Joint Diseases: A Systematic Review
Infrared thermography proved to be a simple, accurate, noninvasive, and radiation-free method, which could be used in addition to the currently available tools for screening, diagnosis, monitoring of disease progression, and response to medical treatment.
