Abnormal thermography in Parkinson’s disease

Short summary of the thermography research

Objective: Thermography combined with a cold stress test may be able to assess an autonomic denervation and aberrant vasomotor reflex in the skin that have been documented in Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Conclusion: Thermography with a cold stress test reveals aberrant skin thermal responses in PD patients, pointing to cutaneous autonomic dysfunction. To assess autonomic dysfunction in PD, this straightforward method may be helpful.
